I send you a brief note with a smile. It has been a busy week creating malas or jewellery pieces since announcing the online store will be taken down on April 11th. Thanks to all for the orders. What a gift it is to create, and creating with the hands is extra special. I will always be grateful for the years spent bringing these physical pieces into the world.
This week while working, I was listening to a podcast with Brother Phap Huu and Jo Confino from Plum Village on war and peace that is very solid in practice. So many of us these days are deeply consumed by the state of the world on this topic. How can we not be? There comes a point where we are capable of sliding deep into despair, and the likely fruit that can come out of that is toxic to ourselves and others.
Brother Phap Huu was born in Vietnam and was Thich Nhat Hahn's personal assistant for many many years. He shares what the current war in the Ukraine brings up for him and the practice that he put in place. His father was a refugee from the Vietnam war who made it Canada. His sharing of Thay's experience and teachings on war and peace is beautiful and sparks a powerful urge to embrace the vulnerability in what we all feel in these volatile time and how to not feel alone. I hope you enjoy it.

Until next week, keep love as close as possible. It's what we are here for.
